I leveled off the slope here and framed up a grow box for our corn.

Time to get the garden ready !

Horse manure and planting seeds!

Red is a New Hampshire Red chicken. She lays an egg a day and they are large and brown. This chicken is the best it never leaves the yard. She is very friendly and likes to be pet. She will come running when we come outside hoping for a scrap or a treat. She will always try whatever we bring to her.

Little-girl is a Sicilian Buttercup. This chicken was hard to figure out the breed but we know we got it right. She is a small hen and lays up to two eggs a day they are small and white. This is our oldest chicken and she likes to be held. She will tuck her wings back when we get close, waiting to be picked up. She has a fluffy butt and a skinny neck with on old lady look. She is bad and likes to cross the wall into Grandpa's. This is my favorite chicken.

Lilly, is a White Leghorn chicken. Lays big white eggs. Her comb is big and red. Lays one a day sometimes two. Lilly is a bad chicken.... Lilly has been known in her early years to have left the coop for a whole month but somehow made it back. Lilly is always in the next door yard and tries to get out into the front through the wood pile. Lilly is not my favorite chicken.

Bella, is an Ameraucana chicken and she lays green/blue eggs. This chicken is our loner chicken. She is the biggest but gets picked on by Red and Lilly. She has a thick ugly neck and hardly has a comb on her head. I like her eggs the best. She is laying one every other day. This chicken can fly the best. Often found in Grandpa Haueter's yard next door and can fly to the top of the chicken run from Grandpa's.
